Artist's Style

Actual art work that I plan to create will incorporate an Art Nouveau style. Fluid, organic, lively patterns top to bottom of the page. I envision the site to be a vertical format, maintaining a structured quality that is divided by flowlines, naturally moving the eye. I enjoyed Piccolo Teatro di Milano by Massimo Vignelli in our class' text "Making and Breaking the Grid". The color scheme will consist of bright, vibrant colors as seen in Hispanic/Asian/Indian cultures. I hope that by portraying Art Nouveau (Western) and bright patterns (textiles used in the East) will molded into my chosen topic of women's health.

Increasing Benefits of Yoga In Hard Times

My focus in this class will be geared towards the mental, physical, and emotional health benefits people are finding through yoga. For the past few years, San Diegans have been gravitating towards yoga, to coup with our hard economical times. Since, there is a developing demand, studios have been appearing on every street corner of North County, San Diego. People are finding that through yoga, they are nurturing their minds, bodies, and souls. They are also recognizing benefits that consist of  dropping stress levels, increasing flexibility, better concentration, strengthening muscles, etc.

I chose this topic because yoga is a huge part of my life. It's one of my passions that I've practice daily for the past seven years. I am a firm believer that yoga is a lifestyle and gives people a broader, more relaxed outlook. I have noticed that yoga creates peace from the inside, out. If people practiced any form of yoga or meditation, I believe the World would be a more peaceful and loving place.
